W.C. Beck is an itinerant singer/songwriter and multi-instrumentalist originally from Kansas who now calls Brooklyn home after long stints in Portland, OR and Paris, France. Beck’s songs span from indie folk to classic country and tell of the American heartland and a forgotten epoch. With catchy melodies and sophisticated compositions, most songs find their depth in the personal, moving narrative.
His new solo album Facecomber features 10 new original songs and debuts in October 2024.

ALBUMS
Praise for First Flight:
"Beck's rich, warm voice, a sometimes-surprising sound palette, and sound songwriting make this an album that is an ideal travelling companion." - Americana UK
"Sometimes you’ve just got to trust someone’s resume, and W.C. Beck has definitely earned his stripes through the Americana scene. His new solo work takes on a broader, almost country vibe: he’s got this naturally soulful voice that winds down the long stretch of dirt highway and gets some excellent help form his superb backing band" - Austin Town Hall
"Through trembling walls of Americana and indie-folk, dyeing each syllable in new colors of his voice, Beck immerses himself in the craft unlike ever before. He’s far more vulnerable these days and willing to draw the listener into the fold of intimacy for art’s sake." - B-Sides & Badlands
"Beck’s latest songs reflect a powerful essence of travel, both physically and spiritually – and also a profound sense of displacement, loneliness and longing to fit in. However we choose to define Beck genre-wise, he and the First Flight he takes us on are overwhelmingly magnificent." - Jonathan Widran, The JW Vibe
"In every one of these songs, it’s undeniable that Beck is really letting go of any inhibitions that he might have held onto prior to getting into the studio to make First Flight. He lays into these verses like his whole life depends on it, but emits a confidence that adds to the narrative of each track significantly. You don’t have to be particularly keen on singer/songwriters to get into Beck’s sound, but for those of us who pore over the works of time-honored troubadours both past and present, his contribution to modern roots music is one that deserves every ounce of the hype and attention that it’s been attracting in the last couple of years." - G.E. Williams, Music Existence
